Classes

The Early Education Journey:

Teachers observe and document development and academic progress to assist parents in making educational decisions for their children. Teachers will schedule at least one parent conference each year for 3 yr. olds and older. Teachers teach to the student, not to the curriculum. Adjustments will be made to challenge students or prevent frustration. Our goal is to make this first experience in learning a positive one.

Our Classes

ENRICHMENT COURSES

The Academy offers enrichment classes that will enhance your child’s early education learning experience. These classes are offered at a daily rate on a first come, first serve basis. Class hours are from 12pm until 1pm. Students who have not signed up for the month but want to participate the day of class will be accepted upon availability. Each class will include a 20 minute lunch time with friends.

FRIENDS AT PLAY

This class is offered each week Monday-Friday when school is in session. Students will enjoy 40 minutes of free outdoor play (weather permitting) with classmates. During inclement weather, your student will enjoy indoor play.

SCIENCE LAB

Our science classes are offered almost every month. Students will be challenged to learn about the world around us. Life science (plants, animals, health, etc.); Earth science (rocks, soil, solar system, landforms, seasons, dinosaurs etc.) and Physical science (magnets, weather, colors, light, sound, etc.) will be explored.

GYMNASTICS

This class will be offered almost every month. Students will have fun on balance beams, exercise mats, and other equipment that will promote healthy exercise. A qualified instructor will teach beginning gymnastic techniques. After January, this class will be offered for younger students with age appropriate activities.

FUN IN THE KITCHEN

This class will be offered during the holidays and in January. Students will have fun creating, testing and bringing home culinary creations made in each class. A focus will be on healthy eating choices. Encouraging students to try new foods using fun and creative activities is a great bonus!

ONCE UPON A TIME

Drama classes are offered frequently. Learning about fairy tales or experiencing childhood memories and acting them out teaches literacy, self-confidence and using your imagination. These classes also promote self-confidence.

Cultural Art Events

The Academy at ONE Church encourages parents to participate in many of the fun activities that we provide. Fun days are enhanced by parent volunteers, and require limited planning.

To be added to a waitlist, you simply need to complete the enrollment form and email it back to the school. If a spot becomes available, we will reach out to the first family on the list, see if they are interested in the placement that is available, and invite them in for a tour.
